Represented NOT Manipulated

As I look at news reports from around the world, I see people angry, protesting what they believe to be a violation of their rights. From America to China, Iran to Venezuela, and elsewhere, it seems that some elected officials and “world leaders” have been more concerned about themselves than those that they claim to represent.

In the scripture that I quote below, there is evidence that the Father was angry about this behavior from his people. Our heavenly Father endows so many of us with blessings that cannot be counted that it is an affront to him when we don’t care for or share with others. While we must use wisdom and have order in these things, our processes cannot outweigh our purposes and we can’t be driven by fear.

We really do need to honor our collective truths. Our actions impact one another on many levels. In this way, lies and deceit cannot be considered discretion. Discretion is its own thing that doesn’t have to be void of truth. My prayer for us all is that we begin to seek our own truths and our collective truths so we can learn to live in harmony.

We really do need to examine our ways to see how we have outgrown some things and are in need of other things that are more practical and efficient. Let’s hold our elected officials and representatives accountable for the things they have been rightfully chosen to influence. We need to hold ourselves accountable for the rest!

Embrace Diversity!

Variety is the spice of life!

“Thus said the Lord God, “Ah, you shepherds of Israel, who have been tending yourselves! Is it not the flock that the shepherds ought to tend? You partake of the fat, you clothe yourselves with the wool, and you slaughter the fatlings, but you do not tend the flock. You have not sustained the weak, healed the sick, or bandaged the injured; you have not brought back the strayed, or looked for the lost, but you have driven them with harsh rigor, and they have been scattered for want of anyone to tend them. Scattered, they have become prey for every wild beast.”

Ezekiel 34:2-5

May the Father give us a heart to seek out His scattered ones. May we recognize that we can change course (repent) and renew our commitment to the Father to tend to the sick, lost, broken, rejected, and weak ones like He compassionately tended to us.
