A Look at Labeling

We are all more than meets the eye.

Labeling is a form of identification that can limit interaction. While many things are created for one main purpose, they can be used to accomplish other tasks. Consider the hammer; it can help to accomplish many tasks that don’t involve nails. Nails can be used with tools other than hammers, though not always ideal.

People that have been accustomed to working outside of ideal conditions have valuable input as they’ve learned to accomplish tasks with innovation and creativity without help. Going forward, we need to reconcile this knowledge and experience with current processes as we seek to grow and evolve. I believe there is untapped potential right under our noses.

As we reaffirm a true commitment to common welfare, we can put our collective skills to work to accelerate our progress. The synergy of common focus on attainable, mutually beneficial tasks is greater than the sum of its parts. What are your skills?

Identify. Don’t Label.

  • Heal the sick not shame them.
  • Raise the lame; don’t beat them down.
  • Settle confused minds; don’t create more confusion.
  • Solve problems, don’t hide or exaggerate them.

“Wisdom cries aloud in the streets, raises her voice in the squares. At the head of the busy streets, she calls; at the entrance of the gates, in the city, she speaks out: How long will you simple ones love simplicity, you scoffers be eager to scoff, you dullards hate knowledge? You are indifferent to my rebuke; I will now speak my mind to you and let you know my thoughts.”

Proverbs 1: 20-23 Tanakh

How would you label this? What might he be saying? Is he attacking or retreating?
