After watching news this past weekend, I was very disheartened by the amount of fear, hatred and darkness I see. Tyre Nichols’ murder brings me to tears to say the least. Could you see the “other-worldly” influence on the officers that killed him? And since when do the people of the Most High rely on violence to protect themselves and not call on the Lord? What is going on in Israel?! The mass shootings, suicides, murders and the violence worldwide are indicative of a major problem – lack of true, practicable faith.

Ephesians 6:12 tells us that we don’t wrestle with flesh and blood, but spiritual wickedness. The only power greater than the power of darkness is the power of light. We need to build up truth and love as a fortress against lies and hatred. If more truth and light fill the world, the darkness cannot remain. We need the kind of faith that brings honor, integrity and responsibility with transparency. There seems to be too much greed, lust, deceit and vanity for the world and its people to heal.
