A Fresh Look

at Spiritual Concepts

Teaching

There are so many ways to approach learning about spiritual concepts. Like most other topics, there is a lot to know. Contrary to popular belief, there is no “one size fits all” rule book. Consider this: the scriptures say that love is kind and that we should love one another. While we should all learn kindness, a mother disciplining her child for playing with fire would be quite ineffective choosing kindness at this time. We must learn to be complete, after all there is a time for everything under the sun. Ecclesiastes chapter 3 goes into great detail about this.

In some cases, scriptures have been used as tools of condemnation to call people out for exclusion. The information contained on this site aims to identify issues for personal improvement for those who choose to learn about the Father. The reproof, correction, and instruction that many of these scriptures contain can only be applied with the help of the Father’s holy spirit. Learning and creating a relationship with the creator and allowing him to give his spirit is a journey. As such, this website is only meant to be a resource NOT a source.

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness that the man of God may be thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”

2 Timothy 3:16

Doctrine

The meaning of the word doctrine as used in Deuteronomy 32:2 is something received. While it has come to be synonymous with teaching, its early usage describes this site. I share only that which I have received from the Father as a result of much study, prayer and reflection.

“Sound Mind”

We are often reminded using 2 Timothy 1:7 that God has given us a sound mind. The Greek word sophronismos used in that passage literally means a saving of the mind through admonishing and calling to soundness of mind and to self-control. We must acknowledge that soundness of mind is a continual process requiring growth and refinement.

Take Your Time

“But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not and it shall be given to him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.”

James 1:4-6
