Faith is the Foundation

Strength thru Faith

The foundation of all spiritual activity is our Creator and you have to believe he exists to gain strength from him. All of creation depends on the Lord of Creation whether they acknowledge it or not. Consider it this way, the ocean doesn’t wet some and leave others dry. If you’re in it, you’ll be wet whether you believe in water or not.

What is Faith?

In Hebrew, the word emuwn is a word for faith meaning that which is established. Another more common Hebrew word used forty-nine times in the Bible, emunah, means firmness (i.e.security; fidelity). There is nothing more established than what existed before anything else. Faith describes reliance on the Father, walking with him consciously throughout life.

What do you believe?

“Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for he is faithful that promised…”

Hebrews 10:23

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

– Hebrews 11:6

What does it profit, my brethren, though a man say he has faith, and have not works? Can faith save him?”

James 2: 14

Putting it to action!

I believe that our Father designed our lives to be much more efficient than we’ve chosen to live them. Everything we have ever needed was provided before we ever knew we needed it. Our job is to live and be, just as the gift of life allows us to.

The way our faith in the Father impacts the way we interact with each other matters more than the names we give our religious practices. While, for some reason, we don’t like being told what to do, our Father has provided us with messengers to do just that.

As one of the Father’s messengers, I seek to use this website to be straightforward and upfront with all that the Father has given me to aid all of us in living a life worthy of his grace. The chaos in the world can be calmed if each of us chooses honesty and integrity in every facet of life.

Understanding the Fear of the Lord

A Fresh Look

“The fear of the Lord is to hate evil, pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.”               Proverbs 8:13

Growing up in the church, I understood fear to be mostly bad. After all, God has not given us the spirit of fear. This approach left me without a healthy respect for fear, especially the fear of the Lord. IT IS A CHOICE! He doesn’t make us reverence him or stand in awe. He also doesn’t make us choose to do good. But why wouldn’t we!?!

I think we should understand that the fear of the Lord means we live with honesty and integrity, knowing that our heavenly Father really does have the last word. Because he is good, we should be good too to stay in his world. More often than not, a failure to recognize this has its own consequences.
