Exposure to More Scripture as Promised!
One of the goals of Ruwach Emeth is to present some of the writings that have been obscured by the proliferation of the Holy Bible. The current canonized Bible does not include many writings once widely accepted and still included in other places. Time, labeling, and perceived lack of relevance has caused some scriptural “gems” to be hidden.
One major influence on prayer and song in worship has always been scripture. The Psalms provide intimate insight into how personal the relationship with the Father can be. We are already somewhat familiar with those. However, like David his father, Solomon was a prolific writer of praise to the Father.
Read this ode from Solomon and experience the peace it reminds us of that is available when we connect to the Father. The presence of our Father’s spirit and our ability to experience it is the greatest gift that we have. Enjoy!
“Drink deeply from the living fountain of the Lord. It is yours. Come, all who are thirsty, drink and rest by the fountain of the Lord. How beautiful and pure. It eases the soul. That water is sweeter than honey. The combs of bees are nothing beside it. It flows from the lips of the Lord. Its name is from the Lord’s heart. It is invisible but has no borders and was unknown until it was set in our midst. They who drink are blessed and eased.”
The Songs (Odes) of Solomon – Song 30
This is great writing and imagery!
It’s a good reminder to seek the Lord for rest and that he already knows what we need.
Very refreshing calming to the soul. Thank you so much for those deep words.
So calming and inviting… May we drink from His fountain daily.
Itís hard to come by well-informed people in this particular topic, but you sound like you know what youíre talking about! Thanks
